Lightbulb "green"house
The incandescent light bulb is the ultimate symbol of wasted energy. Since I don't use them anymore I wanted to transform them into something green instead of throwing them away.
This project was inspired by an ad I saw in the June 08 edition of Popular Science.

Digital Pots: Plant Campanions
Digital Pots: Plant Campanions
Ever wished that your plant could talk to you or atleast express their feelings. Thanks to designer Junyi Heo plants will be able to do just that. The Digital Pot measures soil conditions, temperature, humidity, and water; it then calculates the requirements of the potted plant and displays the mood of the plant using smileys and other icons on the front display.
The system let you know if you have over watered the plant and automatically drains the excess water. The pot also has a USB connection using which you can record the moods of your plant, plus it also recharges the batteries for the system.
Light Bulb Bud Vase
Light Bulb Bud Vase
The fact that it's a light bulb aside, we love the idea of using coarse sand at the bottom of a clear bud vase for both visual effect and stabilizing thin stems. The little tin foil cup at the bottom appears to be keeping the round base upright.

Salad Plant
Salad Plant
The Salad Plant ($25)... well, imagine a set of salad serving utensils camouflaged to look like a regular potted plant. The green melamine salad servers stand upright like leaves in a flower pot that also doubles as a mixing or serving dish for salad dressings or toppings. Will go perfectly with the equally leafy Flora - Pure Silicone Spoon and Spatula Set. Weird.
